Yvonne de Lint, Deputy Managing Director, Currency

Yvonne de Lint was appointed Deputy Managing Director of the Currency Department at the Bank of Canada in April 2012. In this capacity, she is part of the Strategic Leadership Team responsible for all stages of the design, development, production, distribution and management of banknotes in Canada.

In addition, she is responsible for the Currency Department’s external stakeholder relations, evolving key relationships and creating strategic alliances. She also oversees strategic planning, organizational performance and, information and systems management.

Ms. de Lint joined the Bank in 2006 with more than 12 years of experience in strategic planning, business development and organizational performance management. She has developed excellence programs and led organizations to achieve the Canada Award for Excellence in both private and public sectors.

Ms. de Lint is from Ottawa, Ontario. She has a B.Sc. from the University of Ottawa, has been certified in Advanced Technology Management, and is a Certified Excellence Professional. She was also recognized by the Ottawa Business Journal as one of the city’s “Top 40 under 40” in 2004.
