VIA Rail Canada’s mandate is to operate the national passenger rail services on behalf of the Government of Canada, offering intercity rail services and ensuring rail transportation services to regional and remote communities. Its objective is to offer a safe, accessible, efficient, reliable, sustainable and environmentally friendly passenger rail service that meets the needs of Canadian passengers.
VIA Rail Canada cares deeply about its employees’ psychological health. It is not only key to individuals achieving their full potential—it is essential to the organization’s success. Among current support measures, VIA Rail Canada has developed a network of VIAWELL Ambassadors to promote health and well-being within the organization. Other measures focus on respect & inclusion and access to resources.
