Mental Health at Work
AGS Rehab Solutions provides disability management, assessment and vocational solutions to insurers, employers, law firms and government agencies. The company employs 16 people and has an extensive roster of consultants and professionals across Canada.
In 2014, AGS began its workplace mental wellness journey with the goal of enhancing its wellness culture. It was selected by the Mental Health Commission of Canada to participate in a Case Study Research Project to implement the National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace. AGS created a Workplace Mental Health Management Plan that encompasses a vision, mission and values, all reflected in guiding principles. A newly formed wellness committee now manages the plan and the workplace features continuous training, communication and engagement efforts to enhance awareness, knowledge and the removal of mental health stigma.
