Canada Awards for Excellence

Recipient Profile

Engineers Canada

2018 Silver Recipient
Excellence, Innovation and Wellness

Engineers Canada is the national organization of the provincial and territorial associations that regulate the practice of engineering in Canada and license the country’s 290,000 members of the engineering profession. Engineers Canada provides expertise, services and tools to encourage the growth of engineering in Canada, help establish consistent high standards, and inspire public confidence.

Since 2016, Engineers Canada has simplified its governance approach, refined and clarified its organizational purpose, created a new strategic plan and strengthened communications. Annual planning, budgeting and monitoring processes are continually improving. There is better control and management of policies, reduced staff turnover, improvements to the management and documentation of key business processes and projects, and better alignment within planning processes. Employees are engaged, working in a culture that encourages and values the free flow of information in pursuit of continual growth.

We launched our Journey to Excellence Visibility Board to show progress toward silver certification, highlight improvements, and showcase staff achievements.
