Stephanie Price

Executive Director, Federation of Medical Regulatory Authorities of Canada (FMRAC)

Stephanie Price is a professional engineer who spent the first fifteen years of her career working in the cement industry designing, building and optimizing plants in the Americas. Since then, she has worked in professional regulation. She worked for Engineers Canada, the federation of engineering regulators, for 15 years and held several roles there including interim CEO and Executive Vice President, Regulatory Affairs. Since February 2024 she has led the Federation of Medical Regulatory Authorities of Canada (FMRAC) – the organization that brings Canada’s physician regulators together to collaborate and improve medical regulation.

Stephanie also served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Network of Agencies for Regulation (CNAR) from March 2019 to June 2024, including as Chair from April 2021 to June 2023, reflecting her deep interest in regulation and in the value of bringing regulators together to learn and grow. She lives in Ottawa with her husband, two daughters and their cat and enjoys time outside and in her garden.
