As Strategic Initiatives Advisor in the Office of the Associate Provost, Human Resources, at the University of Waterloo, Nancy Collins works on a wide range of human resource strategies and initiatives, and provides advice and guidance on University-wide initiatives, including the University’s goal of achieving the Going-for-Gold Excellence, Innovation and Wellness (EIW) Standard. Located at the heart of Canada’s technology hub, the University of Waterloo is a leading comprehensive university with 35,100 full- and part-time students in undergraduate and graduate programs.

In addition to her role in Human Resources, Nancy serves as an academic librarian at the University Library, which was the first department on campus to begin applying the EIW Standard. She has worked at the University since 2007, first acting as the Communications and Liaison Librarian for seven years and then as a Liaison Librarian for one year before transitioning to Human Resources. In these roles, Nancy managed the Library’s communications team and acted as liaison librarian for various academic departments.

She holds a Master of Information Studies degree from the University of Toronto and a BA from the University of Waterloo.
