Russ Gahan

Russ Gahan ensures that internal systems and processes are supporting clients’ needs, serves as the lead on special projects, and manages strategic alliances and partnerships. Since joining Excellence Canada in 2008, Russ’ entrepreneurial background has contributed to the responsive and nimble nature of the organization. He has been deeply involved in helping client organizations become accessible for people with disabilities, and to become physically and psychologically healthy places to work. He believes that healthy and engaged people, happy in the work they have chosen to do, are the basis of a bright and prosperous future for their organizations and for Canada.

Previously, he worked in corporate finance, business administration and marketing for over 30 years. His positions included controller of a manufacturing company, partner in a houseware/hardware/giftware business, and vice-president and chief financial officer of a start-up technology company which he took public in 1998.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto.
