The Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) is a defined benefit (DB) pension plan that has been helping build the foundation for a financially secure retirement for Ontario’s healthcare workers since 1960. 

The reason HOOPP has been the leading defined benefit pension plan provider in the Ontario healthcare community is simple: the Plan is tailored to the healthcare sector and offers its members retirement income for life.

Employee wellbeing has been a priority at HOOPP for the past decade. What started with an employee-led wellness committee has grown into a holistic program that is an integral part of the HOOPP culture. The program has evolved with a more targeted focus on mental health, and a mental health strategy being created in 2021.
