Canada Awards for Excellence

Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences (Ontario Shores) is a specialty mental health hospital with a dedicated team of more than 1,300 staff and 150 volunteers who are passionate about enhancing care for people affected by mental health and addictions.

In 2017, Ontario Shores received the Canada Awards for Excellence – Gold level recognition for Excellence Canada’s Mental Health at Work Framework. Ontario Shores was recognized for its Integrated Wellness Plan, employee engagement activities, emphasis on a positive workplace culture and strong focus on psychological and physical safety.

This year, Ontario Shores is celebrating 100 years of providing mental health care on its grounds. It’s most known for its recovery-oriented environment of care, build on compassion, inspiration and hope.
