Sarah White

Sarah White is the founder of Acede Consulting Group Inc. Acede brings together the knowledge, experience and skills needed to assist organizations to effectively comply with the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, Accessibility for Manitobans Act, The Accessibility Act for Nova Scotia, The Accessible Canada Act, The Canada Transportation Act Regulation on Accessible Transportation for Persons with Disabilities and the National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace.

As a subject matter expert, she has provided information and insight on accessibility for various media, associations, and business groups. The Human Rights Legal Support Centre has acknowledged Sarah White as an expert witness to testify on matters concerning accessibility before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. Sarah authored articles in “Municipal World” magazine, “Condo Living” and “Legal Aid Newsletter”. She has been a guest speaker for the Law Society of Upper Canada, Ontario Hospital Association’s Accessibility Conference, Conservation Ontario, Chambers of Commerce, National Quality Institute, Durham College, Boards of Trade and others. Sarah has also been a guest speaker at various forums and workshops organized by the Accessibility Directorate of Ontario. Clients include the Canadian Federal Government, Ontario Provincial Government, Toronto Pearson Airport, University of Toronto, University of Manitoba, ScotiaBank, and Loyalty One.

Sarah is also currently the Director of Accessibility Education and Consulting for Excellence Canada. (a non-profit organization) She was an instructor for the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification Program  teaching at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and at George Brown College in Toronto.

Sarah also specializes in the area of mental health with regard to the Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace Standard and in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), of which she is a certified instructor. 

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Social Science, and a Diploma in Adult Education, a Diploma in Mental Health Studies, is an ISO Lead Auditor, a MHFA Instructor and a Certified Municipal Manager.
